Katherine Langdon is an interdisciplinary artist originally from Calgary, currently living in Vancouver, British Columbia studying for her BFA at Emily Carr University of Art and Design. Katherine has been involved with projects in the public and private sector since 2016. HerĀ artistic journey has led her on a path of constant exploration and innovation. Starting in the Canadian graffiti scene, she later expanded into more critical approaches to painting, allowing her to blend a variety of artistic styles and techniques, heavily influencing her material and process led approach.

Her art is characterised by intricate representations of identity, culture, and individual experiences. Langdon draws inspiration from extensive research into complex making processes, motifs, and imagery throughout art history, informing the creation of an ambiguous and sometimes ironic visual language that challenges viewers to deconstruct deeper meanings.

The art Langdon produces is a reflection of her multifaceted personality, innate curiosity, and passion for experimentation, pushing the boundaries and conventions of mediums. Her works speak to the often-confusing condition of the human experience, inviting viewers to engage with rich colours, compositions, subject matters, and themes in a way that encourages deeper reflection and exploration.
